Vicat's Chambéry site hosts several activities, including an aggregates platform, 3D printing operations and Research and Development projects. As part of its research activities, Vicat wanted to modernize its mixing unit.
Sofraden Bulk Solutions therefore installed an entirely new mixing line, combining new equipment with existing installations that were refurbished and upgraded with additional features.
What Were the Main Challenges of This Project?
One of the main challenges of the project carried out for Vicat was adapting the new equipment to an existing space with significant layout constraints.
The primary objective was to provide a more automated and ergonomic solution that met the specific requirements of the Vicat Chambéry site, while ensuring process reliability and long-term durability.
Budget constraints also guided our decisions throughout the project, requiring careful optimization of performance, robustness and cost.

Sofraden Bulk Solutions supported Vicat throughout the project, from defining requirements to commissioning, including design and implementation.

The second step involved a complete overhaul of the mixer, the heart of the process. Thanks to our many years of experience, we are able to refurbish and optimize our equipment, giving it a new lease of life.
